The following services are offered via Kootenai Behavioral Health

  • Youth & Adult chemical dependency units, has outpatient services
    Adult Chemical Dependency Inpatient Program & Chemical Dependency Intensive Outpatient Services
  • Kootenai Clinic Psychiatry
    Kootenai Clinic’s board-certified psychiatrists provide outpatient psychiatric services for adults, adolescents, and children. If you are interested in seeing one of our providers, speak to your primary care physician about obtaining a referral to our office or call us for more information.
  • Youth Acute Program
    The youth acute program is a secure 26-bed facility for children and adolescents up to age 17. It provides a safe, structured environment designed to stabilize youth in severe crisis.
  • Adult Services
    The adult acute program is a 26-bed facility for patients 18 or older. The program provides a safe, structured and therapeutic environment designed to stabilize adults who are experiencing severe impairment from mental illness.
  • Northern Idaho Crisis Center (partnership with Kootenai Health, Heritage Health, & Panhandle Health District)
    The Northern Idaho Crisis Center is a non-profit community organization, created to help people who are having a mental health crisis or a drug or alcohol problem. The Crisis Center is a joint project between Panhandle Health District, Kootenai Health and Heritage Health. Staff members care for those that come to the center and help facilitate outside resources before each person leaves. The center is free, safe, private, and voluntary.
